Charles “Tee” Boudreaux, Sr., age 83 and resident of Opelousas, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Charles was born and raised in Lawtell, Louisiana. He called many places home and was extremely well-rounded, which resulted in him engaging in multiple professions. His main profession of choice was being a master barber. Charles was a kind-hearted, loving and generous family man, always working hard to provide for his five children. In his spare time, you could find him painting beautiful portraits and landscapes, strategizing at a game of checkers, trying to solve the newest puzzle on The Wheel of Fortune, strumming the guitar, or dabbling with the piano. Charles enjoyed catching up (and cutting up) with beloved friends and family, so he spent many miles behind the steering wheels of his beloved Cadillacs visiting others. He never expected anything in return other than a simple “thank you” and derived his joy through giving and good times.

He is survived by his sons, Charles Boudreaux, Jr. of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Bertrand Clete Boudreaux of Flower Mound, Texas and Patrick Cary Boudreaux and his wife, Sandra of Willis, Texas; daughters, Carlotta Lansford and her husband, Mike and Chereen Shoemaker and her husband, Mark; brother, Harold “Sugar” Boudreaux and his wife, Betty of Opelousas; sisters, Cinda Richard of San Francisco, California and Sharon Gradney and her husband, David of Opelousas; nine grandchildren: Bert Boudreaux and his wife, Hillary, Brad Boudreaux, Katie Isabella Boudreaux and Amanda Jackson and her husband, Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Stevie and Calvin Boudreaux and Emmett and Carmen Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Isabella (St. Andre) Boudreaux; sister, Natalie Biages; and brother, Herbert “Cookie” Boudreaux.
