Funeral services will be held for Chad Anthony Bellow, age 41, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas. Monsignor Paul Metrejean will conduct the funeral service with burial following at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Chad, a life-long resident of Opelousas, LA, died peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Chad loved shopping with his Mom and golfing with his Dad. He never met a stranger and always loved meeting new people who he charmed with his contagious smile. He was a member of the Opelousas Elks Lodge and an honorary deputy for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Department. Chad will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
He is survived by his parents, Ray and Pat Bellow, of Opelousas, LA; his sister, Rachel Franks and husband, James, of Opelousas, LA; his niece, Shelby Lavergne and husband, Chance, of Arnaudville, LA; two nephews, Logan Constantine and girlfriend, Sara Fisher; Cameron Franks of Opelousas, LA; his special aunt and uncle Harold and Jeanette Canchola of Baton Rouge, LA; his special cousins, Derek Canchola and wife, Jennifer, of Baton Rouge, LA and Taylor Canchola of Baton Rouge, LA. He is also survived by his distant cousins, Leigha Jane, Quinn Canchola and lots of special aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nelson and Evelyn Badeaux; his paternal grandparents, Tensay and Hester Bellow and his uncle, Ricky Badeaux.
Visitation will be held at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Jerome Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Derek Canchola, Taylor Canchola, Logan Constantine, James Franks, Chance Lavergne and Cameron Franks.
