Cecil Duvall, Jr.

Melville Funeral services for Cecil Earl Noncydo Duvall, Jr., age 38, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2010 in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home in Melville. Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Cemetery in Melville.

Cecil, who was born in Lafayette and was a resident of Plaucheville, LA, died on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at his residence.

Noncydo was a fabulous woodworker who built beautiful furniture and cabinets. He enjoyed fishing and crawfishing and caring for his many animals which included a spoiled pig, horses, chickens and donkeys. He also loved spending time with his family and friends and playing with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his mother, Earline B. Duval of Melville sisters, Rachael Duvall Mouret and husband Joey of Opelousas and Melissa Montgomery and husband Fred of Plaucheville brother, Glenn Goober Pitre of Krotz Springs maternal great grandmother, Beulah Fruge of Melville maternal grandparents, Patrick and Julia Barker, Sr. of Bayou Current 5 nieces, Robin, Ruby and Blythe Duvall, Jody Mouret and Lauren Montgomery and 3 nephews, Joseph and Jacob Mouret and Frederick Montgomery. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his father, Cecil Earl Duvall, Sr. a brother, Pervice Duvall paternal grandparents, Virgil and Ruby Duvall and a maternal grandfather, Elisha Barker.

Pallbearers will be Chris Disotell, Jason Snyder, Carl Smith, Travis Duvall, Andy Duvall, Kenny Barker, Jr., Tommy Casse, and Kevin Ponthieux.

Visiting and services will be on Monday, January 18, 2010 in the LaFond Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville beginning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
