Catherine Kimble

Melville - Funeral services will be held for Catherine Rouse Kimble at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015, in the First Baptist Church of Melville with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Calvin Cantrel will conduct the funeral service. Interment will be held at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kimble, age 82, a resident of Melville, LA, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA.

Catherine was a member of the First Baptist Church in Melville and was a longtime employee of Merchants and Farmers Bank. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Ross Kimble, of Melville, LA; her daughters, Cynthia Pauline Kimble of Lafayette, LA and her sister, Eva Rouse Bordelon of Erath, LA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Gina Angona Felder and husband, Jason; Van Angona, Jr. and wife, Stacie; Amanda Kimble; Jessica Angona St. Germain and husband, Mark; eight great-grandchildren, Jaelyn, Lilyanna, Cecilia, Briar, Nevaeh Faith, Sean Lee, Gabe and Addilyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross "Jake" Kimble; her parents, Carl Joseph and Grace Irene Canady Rouse; her daughters, Geraldine Kimble Angona, Mary Ann Kimble; her sister, Sarah Rouse Kimble and her brother, Luke "Mutt" Rouse.
