Catherine Jordan

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Catherine Polozola Jordan at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013, in the St. John Catholic Church in Melville, LA. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Walter Cerbin will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Mrs. Jordan, age 87, was a native and lifelong resident of Melville, LA. She died at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital on Sunday, May 26, 2013.

Catherine was a parishioner of St. John Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed, but will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Billy Rose Parrish of Crockett, Texas Catherine Tulli of Pride, LA Darleen Mullins and husband, George, of Magnolia, Texas her brothers, Joe Polozola of Melville, LA Michael Polozola of Krotz Springs, LA Frank Polozola of Krotz Springs, LA Luis Polozola of Krotz Springs, LA her sisters, Catherine Marcotte of Melville, LA Mary Moran of Palmetto, LA and Lottie Bebe of Breaux Bridge, LA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Robert Garcia and wife Tricia George Mullins and wife Kristen, Michael Parrish and wife Summer, Jason Parish and wife Lisa, Matthew Parrish and wife Ali, Tena Badeaux, Heidi Anderson and husband Cory, 21 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Quilliam Jordan her parents, Dominick and Rosa Dipasquale Polozola her brother, Stephen Polozola, Jimmy Thibodeaux, and Domie Ray Polozola her sister, Sara P. Goudeau her granddaughter, Crystal Moe and her greatgranddaughter, Breana Moe.

Pallbearers will be George Mullens, Louis Polozola, Jason Parrish, and Matthew Parrish. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Garcia.

Visiting hours will begin on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
