Opelousas-Funeral services for Carol Faye Goutro will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.  Interment will be at the First Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Melville, Louisiana. Pastor Samuel Ham will be officiating the service.

Visitation will be held at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Carol Faye Goutro, age 61, passed at her home on July 29, 2021 surrounded by her children, Foster, Misty and Krystal, who made up the entirety of her world. Faye was a graduate of Opelousas High. She went on to work 18 years for Imperial Fire and Casualty. "Mama" left with us a wonderful example of how to be humble, kind, thoughtful, strong in will and steadfast in faith and spirit. Being the "Maw Granny" that she was, her spontaneous visits will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Selena, Hunter, Remi, Cooper, Levi and Olivia. Her daughter-in-law, Angela Goutro and sons-in-law, Travis Duplantis and Ryan Carrier will miss her sweet voice, big smile and warm hugs that said, "you're my children as well." Thank you "Mama Faye" for always treating us as your own.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Eula Mae Dupre, of Opelousas; husband, Foster Goutro Jr.; her companion of 30 years, Kenneth Ortego; grandson, Christian Jude Perez; and sister Lenora Warden.

Her survivors also include Dale Dupre and his wife, Melissa, of Opelousas, La.; Debbie Aucoin; and brother-in-law, Kippie Warden, of Krotz Springs, La.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Goutro, Ryan Carrier, Travis Duplantis, Dale Dupre, Kippie Warden and Clarence Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Foster Goutro, Remington Goutro and Levi Goutro.

We would like to give a very special thank you to her brother, Dale and his wife, Melissa, for ALL you have done to help us and our mom. We appreciate it more than you know.
