Carl Pitre

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Carl Slim Pitre will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, with the Reverend Paul Bienvenu as the Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Carl, age 52, a resident and native of Opelousas, LA died on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, LA.

Carl loved sports especially football and his favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his family dearly. Carl will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his mother, Patsy D. Pitre of Opelousas, LA his brothers, Craig Pitre and wife, Donna, of Grand Prairie, LA Neal Pitre of Port Barre, LA his sister, Melanie Bourque and husband, Randy, of Opelousas, LA and his nieces and nephews, Ashley and Nicholas Pitre, Seth Pitre, Marisa Talbert, Chelsea Bourque and Bethanie Leger.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Curtis Pitre and his sister, Karen Pitre.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
