Melville Funeral Services for Carl Dean Martin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville. Burial will follow in the Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Melville, LA. Brother Sam Ham will officiate the service.

Mr. Martin, age 62, a resident of Melville, LA died on Sunday, February 24, 2013, at the St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas, LA.

Carl will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his sons, Brandon Edward Eugine Levy of Utah Kyle James Laroy Martin of Port Barre, LA Harland Michael Legynn Martin of Port Barre, LA his adoptive daughter, Caren Schiavello of Port Barre, LA his brothers, Charles Martin of Melville, LA Jerell Martin of Fordoche, LA Doug Martin of Melville, LA and his sisters, Joan Ganson of Melville, LA and Virgie Ann Boudreaux of Denham Springs, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Clara Martin his daughter, Elizabeth Jane Martin and his sister, Vonda Deville.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Melville beginning on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. until time of service.
