Camille Landry

A prayer service will be held for Camille Murphy Landry at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The Reverend Terry Mayfield will conduct the service.

Mr. Landry, age 71, who was a native of Sunset, LA and a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his residence.

Murphy served his county proudly in the United States Air Force. He worked as a tong operator and supervisor for Weatherford International. In his spare time, he enjoyed working cross word puzzles and gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughter, JoAnna Landry Guillory of Leonville step daughters, Bridget Vasseur and husband Dennis of Prairie Ronde, Paula Jeffers of Arnaudville, and Amantha Dolly Doucet of Opelousas step son, Brett Doucet and Denise Doucet of Leonville sister, Jane Kaiser of Brandon, Mississippi and 16 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Camille Landry and Eleanor Lanclos sister, Joyce Noel brothers, Norbert H. Quebedeaux, Adrian Quebedeaux and Joseph Preston Quebedeaux.

Visitation will be held in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 4:00 9:00 p.m. with military honors during the evening.
