Camille Hidalgo

- Funeral services for Kent Hidalgo will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00AM at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel with the interment in Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Bienvenu will conduct the services.

Mr. Hidalgo, age 49, a resident of Gulf Port, Mississippi, died Monday, February 18, 2008 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. He owned and operated Advanced Mechanical Contractors Inc. in Gulfport. He also worked at J M Plumbing in Bogalusa, Mississippi where he was a Master Plumber.

Kent is survived by his wife Karen Ulmer Hidalgo of Gulf Port, Mississippi, his mother; Wanda Leger Hidalgo of Opelousas, Louisiana, his grandfather, Camille Leger of Prairie Rhonde, Louisiana, his sons; Patrick Hidalgo and Robert Hidalgo both of Opelousas, Louisiana, a step-son, Wayne Ulmer of Gulfport, Mississippi, his brothers, Charles Hidalgo and his wife, Sandy, of Broussard, Louisiana, Quinton Hidalgo of Opelousas, Louisiana and Tim Hidalgo and his wife, Rachael, of Opelousas, his sisters, Gwendolen Boudreaux and her husband, Roderick, of River Ridge, Louisiana and Miranda Hidalgo-Quebedeaux of Opelousas, Louisiana, his godmother, Josephine Broussard of Patterson, Louisiana, goddaughter; Brandi H. Arabie, 5 nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hidalgo, Jr., maternal grandmother, Mable Dupre Leger, paternal grandparents, Robert and Estelle Lavergne Hidalgo Sr., his father-in-law, Robert Ulmer, brother-in-law; Kevin Paul Quebedeaux and his god-father; Alcide Dupre Sr.

The Pallbearers will be Charles Hidalgo, Quinton Hidalgo, Tim Hidalgo, Gwen Boudreaux, Patrick Hidalgo, Robert Hidalgo, Wayne Ulmer and Miranda Hidalgo-Quebedeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Rod Boudreaux and Dwayne Leger.

Visitation will be observed on Wednesday from 10:00AM to 10:00PM and will continue on Thursday from 8:00AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 7PM on Wednesday.
