Cally Jackson

Opelousas-A visitation and memorial service for Cally Rose Jackson age 69, will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Reverend Benny Repond will conduct the memorial service.

Mrs. Jackson, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Opelousas, died at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Jackson was a custodian for 13 years for the St. Landry Parish Health Unit.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Alice Granger of San Antonio, TX; Mrs. Rachel Taylor of Opelousas, La.; Mrs. Louella Venable of Opelousas, La. and Audrey Duplechin of Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Rose Hebert Latour and Eddie J. Hunter; one brother, Hindenburg Hunter; three nephews, Kenneth Wayne Granger, Ewell Menard, Jr. and Kurt Duplechin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
