Brenda Barker

Funeral service for Brenda Lee Barker, age 55, will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the First United Pentecostal Church of Melville. The Reverend Samuel Ham will conduct the funeral service.

Ms. Barker, a resident of Melville, LA, died at her residence on Monday, January 28, 2013.

Brenda was a homemaker who loved freely. She loved gardening, antiquing and taking care of others. Her greatest joys were found in her children and grandchildrens achievements. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and those that knew her.

Survivors include her parents, Patrick Hood Barker, Sr. and Julia Annie Barker her sons, Eric Elisha Barker and wife Aurlie of Bony, France and Tommy Joseph Casse and wife Misty of Gainesville, GA brothers, Pat Barker, Jr., Kenny Barker, Jerry Barker, and Russell Barker sisters, Earline Duvall, Effie Hilda Barker, Sylvia Tate, Julia Barker, and Rose Quirk grandchildren, Trinity Casse, Austin Casse, Koa Barker, MalaLeah Barker, Kayden Barker.

She is preceded in death by her nephews, Pervice Duvall, Cecil Duvall, Jr., Brandon Barker, and her niece Patricia Barker.

Visiting will be held in the First United Pentecostal Church of Melville on Saturday, February 2, 2013, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 5:00 p.m.
