Brad Marks

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Brad Joseph Marks at 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the Skip Montet Chapel in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will be conduct the service. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Marks, age 42, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Brad was a graduate of Acadiana Prep and T.H. Harris as a diesel mechanic. Brad was an outdoorsman all his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and ducks and loved muscle cars. He was known by family and friends as the "best crawfish boiler in the world". Brad will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Brandi Richard Marks; his parents, Charles and Linda Bergeron Marks; his brother, Dustin Charles Marks and wife, Dawn; his sister, Amy Marks France and husband, Laird; his father-in-law, David Richard; mother-in-law, Rhonda Richard and brothers-in-law, Aaron Richard and Aric Meyer. He is also survived by his godson and nephew, Ashton Brent Marks; his niece, Kyleigh Marks; and his goddaughters, Brooke Chaisson and Maggie Bergeron.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Oralie and Rita Mae Caillais Marks and his maternal grandparents, Ferdie Joseph Bergeron and Elma Comardelle Bergeron.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Joubert, Thomas Quirk, Aaron Richard, Todd Bergeron, Chris Marks, Laird France, Dustin Marks and Shane Bergeron. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryan Monte', Ashton Marks, Aric Meyer and Michael Prados.

Visitation will be held at in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Saturday evening by Mr. Edwin Broussard. The funeral home will reopen on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
