Bonnie Soileau Joubert

The family of Bonnie Soileau Joubert are saddened to announce her death on November 6, 2021. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive guests at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until rosary time at 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow the rosary. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the religious ceremonies. Rite of Committal will follow at the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Bonnie was a native of the Grand Prairie and longtime resident of Opelousas. Her family meant the world to her, and she did her best to spoil each one of them, especially her three sons and her grandchildren. Bonnie was an amazing cook, and it gave her great joy to have her family gathered at her table for a meal.

Bonnie was very proud of the years that she worked with Haas-Hirsch Grain Elevators as a grain merchant. After working with Haas-Hirsch, Bonnie worked for 20 years with Acadian Consultants until her retirement.

She is survived by her three sons, Doug Joubert, and wife Denean, Tommy Joubert and wife Margaret, and Joey Joubert and wife Raquel; her brother, Richard Soileau and wife Norma; five grandchildren, Dustin Joubert, Madelyn Joubert, Taylor King, Shelbi King and Alex King; three great grandchildren, Kyle Thomas, Jackson King and Hallie Franks.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Joubert; parents, Ivan, and Anita Sylvester Soileau and her granddaughter, Erica Joubert.

Pallbearers will be her sons, Doug, Tommy and Joey Joubert as well as Dustin Joubert, Brandon Prudhomme and Drew Prudhomme.

Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Thomas, Richard Soileau, and Larry Prudhomme.
