Bonnie Pavy

Opelousas - Visiting for Bonnie Pavy, the former Bonnie Marie Powers, age 77, will be held at St. Landry Catholic Church on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass.

Bonnie peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edmond E. Pavy, Jr., of Opelousas, LA; her daughters, Monique Tromblay and husband, Gary Tromblay, of Plano, TX; Raquel Joubert and husband, Joey Joubert, of Luling, LA; Michelle Hermann and husband, Winston Hermann, Jr., of Trophy Club, TX; her brother, Ronald "Pojoe" Powers, of Opelousas, LA and her sister, Shirley Carriere and husband, Harold "Totsie" Carriere, of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Winston Hermann, III, Austin Hermann, Michael Tromblay and Elizabeth Tromblay and numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Powers, Jr. and Iris Meyers Powers.

Readers will be Bessie Bourdier and Marceline Hrachovy and Gift Bearers will be Elizabeth Tromblay and Maria Pavy.

Pallbearers will be Winston Hermann, Jr., Winston Hermann, III, Austin Hermann, Joey Joubert, Gary Tromblay and Michael Tromblay. Honorary pallbearers will be Felix Pavy, Charles "Scooter" Hiller, D.D. Ardoin, II and Ronald "Pojoe" Powers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bonnie Pavy's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
