Bonnie Deshotels

Washington A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Bonnie Thibodeaux Deshotels at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, La. Reverend Albert Nunez will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held at the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Deshotels, age 58, a resident of Garland, La., died on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at her residence.

Bonnie was the office manager at J.T. Wein for 34 years. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her husband of 35 years, Keith Deshotels her sons, Jace Deshotels and companion, Brittany Kling Brett Deshotels and wife, Brittany her daughter, Tobi Deshotels her brothers, Overton Thibodeaux of Walker, La. Aubrey Thibodeaux and wife, Una, of Prairie Ronde, La. Ray Thibodeaux and wife, Corita, of Walker, La. Kenneth Thibodeaux and wife, Jackie, of Prairie Ronde, La. her sisters, Roberta Johnson of Opelousas, La. Callie Richard and husband, Lee L., of Morrow, La. Sybil Landreneau and husband, Bobby, of Ville Platte, La. and Greta Brown and husband, Thomas, of Marksville, La. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Colin Deshotels, Kahlen Deshotels, Finn Deshotels and Jax Deshotels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Demas and Emethilde Thibodeaux and her sisters, Patsy Stelly and Una Sylvester.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Jace Deshotels, Brett Deshotels, Tyler Stevens, Craig Stevens, Tony Soileau, Kenneth Thibodeaux and honorary pallbearers will be Ray Thibodeaux, Overton Thibodeaux and Aubrey Thibodeaux.
