Bonita Armand

Funeral services for Bonita Ortego Armand will be held on Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 11:00am in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the services.

Pallbearers will be her sons Kelly Armand, Randy Armand, Malachy Armand, Clay Armand, Dale Armand and her grandson Kane Armand.

Mrs. Armand, age 84, a resident of Opelousas, died Sunday September 28, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System. She was born on December 2, 1929 in Reddell, LA. She loved her family dearly. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was a nurse for 63 years, having worked at the St. Landry Clinic, Doctors Hospital and Opelousas General Hospital. Upon her retirement she volunteered at Prompt Succor Nursing Home and was a private duty nurse for 20 years.

Her survivors include her sons Randy Armand, Dale Armand, Kelly Armand and wife Kilie, Malachy Armand, Clay Armand and wife Becky, 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Earl E. Armand, parents Anchelle Ortego and Emma Landreneau Ortego, sons Larry Armand and Stacey Armand.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Tuesday at 9:00am until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00pm on Monday.
