Bobby Duos

A Mass of Christian Burial for Bobby W. Duos will be held on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Landry Catholic Church. The interment will be held at the Te-Mamou Cemetery in Ville Platte. The Reverend Gregory Simien will celebrate the Mass.

Mr. Duos, age 71, a resident of Opelousas, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at his residence. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, stationed at Fort Polk, during the Vietnam War era. He retired after 38 years of service to Union National Life Insurance Company. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Duos is survived by his wife; Mary Ann Vail Duos of Opelousas, sons; Phillip Duos and wife Angela Lalonde Duos of Crowley, Brian Paul Duos of Dequincy, Steven Duos of Leonville, daughters; Melissa Duos Toussel and husband Troy Toussel of Geismar, Pamela Duos Harmon and husband Dr. Richard Harmon of Opelousas, Brothers; Billy Duos of Spring, TX, Kenneth Duos of Lake Charles, sisters; Vana Mae Manuel, Kathleen Duos both of Ville Platte and 11 grandchildren; Corey Duos, James Duos, Alaina Duos, Nicholas Duos, Katie Duos, John Phillip Duos, Courtney Toussel, Ethan Harmon, Mackenzie Toussel, Jacob Toussel and Erin Harmon.

Preceded in death by his parents; Jules Duos and Lallia Bell Thompson Duos, brother; Michael Duos, sisters; Barbara Veillon and Patsy Manuel.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 9:00 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
