Krotz Springs - Funeral services for Blakelynn Malachi Godeaux, age 15, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs with visitation being held in the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be held in the First Baptist Church cemetery. Brother Chad Bolfa will conduct service.

Blakelynn, a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2016, surrounded by her loved ones.

Blakelynn was a very tenderhearted, forgiving and calm young lady. She was a very kind and patient person who loved the Lord. She was very beautiful, inside and out. She enjoyed music and played several instruments including the bass guitar, piano and harmonica. Her love for animals showed through the care she gave her sheep. In her spare time you could find Blakelynn dressing up in her western wear, coloring, drawing, fishing and sitting around a bon fire with her family and friends.

Survivors include her parents, Blake and Johnica Godeaux; her paternal grandparents, Connie and Isaac Godeaux; her maternal grandmother, Cookie Harrsion and her husband, Freddie; her brother, Nathan Godeaux and her sisters, Hannah Godeaux and Abigail Godeaux.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Johnny Coates and a host of great uncles.
