Billy Henagan

Bayou Current A Funeral Service will be held for Billy Donald Henagan, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013, in the Atchafalaya Presbyterian Church in Bayou Current, LA. Burial will follow in the Atchafalaya Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Reverend Paul McHenry will conduct the service.

A longtime resident of Bayou Current, LA and Ponchatoula, LA, Billy went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, October 20, 2013, at 11:21 p.m. surrounded by his beloved family. He was 76 years old.

Billy proudly served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller until retirement and also owned The Craft Box in Ponchatoula with his wife for many years. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.

Billy is survived by his wife, Fammie Talley Henagan, daughter Nadine Majesty and husband, Robert, Sr., son Ricky Henagan and wife Debbie, son Randy Henagan and wife Denise, and son Paul Henagan. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Toshia Perrin and husband Mark, Brittany Henagan, Samantha McEachern and husband Bubba, and Michelle Henagan. He leaves three great grandchildren, Jacob Stevens, Taylor Perrin, and Brody McEachern. He also leaves behind two brothers, Pete Henagan and wife, Ilse, and Jerry Henagan and wife, Pauline, as well as one uncle, Doug Russell, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Billy in death were his parents, Carroll and Alma Henagan, and brother Jimmy Henagan.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a wake of Billys life at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Melville, on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
