Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Betty Ann Long at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Reverend Dean Rydbeck, Pastor of the Hope Presbyterian Church will conduct the service. Burial will be held in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas.

Ms. Long, age 81, a native of Opelousas, LA and current resident of Delray Beach, Florida, died on Sunday, November 20, 2016.

Betty loved puzzle books and coloring. She found joy in her job at the Boca Rehab Center. For the past 20 years, Betty lived in a group home in Delray Beach, Florida. She loved the time she spent with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her brother, Glenn Long and wife, Amy, of Dunnellon, Florida; two nieces, Linda Mark and Susan Fulmele. She is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews, Melissa Steckley, Matthew Steckley, Danny Mark and Brian Mark.

She was preceded in death by parents, Daniel Allen Long and Ollie Bertheaud Long.
