Betsy Wester

A Mass of Christian Burial for Betsy Ross Mayer Wester will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 2:00pm at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church. The interment will take place at St. Leo The Great catholic Cemetery. Fr. Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Wester, age 65 a resident of Opelousas died July 22, 2011 at Opelousas General Health System. She was a retired billing clerk.

She is survived by her son James Dean Doucet of Opelousas, daughters Tammy Lee Doucet of Opelousas and Patti Doucet Delahoussaye and husband Paul Delahoussaye of Arnaudville brothers Ralph Mayer of Arnaudville and Ronald Mayer of Port Barre, sisters Beverly Billie Latiolais of Pecaniere and Priscilla Pee Wee Lafleur of Opelousas, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents Eric and Germaine Mayer and her husband Milton Wess Wester.

Visitation will be on Monday July 25, 2011 from 12:00pm until 12:00 midnight and will reopen on Tuesday at 7:00am. A rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00pm.
