Bertrand Savoie

Funeral services will be held for Bertrand "B" Savoie, age 60, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Chapel in Melville, LA with visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Reverend Jason Vidrine will conduct the funeral service. Burial will take place at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery.

Mr. Savoie, a resident of Melville, died on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Opelousas General Health System.

Bertrand was a truck driver and worked as a Krotz Springs paramedic. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Percy J. Savoie, of Krotz Springs, LA; his brother, Jacky Savoie and wife, Laura, of Venice, Florida; two nephews, James Paul Savoie of Melville, LA; Justin Savoie of Arnaudville, LA and his great-nephew, Jet Paul Savoie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Coulon Savoie; his paternal grandparents, Batmas and Donnateal Savoie and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Selena Tassin Coulon.
