Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice Richard Kerry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA with Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen.

Mrs. Kerry, age 101, a resident of Gorum, LA died on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Oaks Care Center in Pineville, LA.

Bernice will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Jesse Therman Kerry and wife, Edith, of Baker, LA her daughters, Lois Lambert of Baton Rouge, LA Margie Lodrige of Gorum, LA Delores Wagner and husband, Sammy, of Pearland, Texas and her brother, Goldman Richard and wife, Helen, of Baker, LA. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 53 greatgrandchildren and 34 greatgreat grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Kerry her parents, Saul and Lilly Richard Vidrine her son, Herman Paul Kerry, Sr. her daughter, Estella Mae Marino her brothers, Levi, Elvin and Gilbert Richard her sisters, Wilamay Kerry Olivia Perry and two grandchildren, Davie Lodrige and Barbara Kerry Gerald.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. open all night until time of service on Wednesday. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
