Bennie Hollier

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Bennie Richard Hollier, age 70, in the St. Landry Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Ms. Hollier who was a resident of Houston, TX, native and former resident of Opelousas, died on Friday, October 22, 2010 at a Houston hospital.

She proudly served her country as a member of the United States Navy and was a nurse by profession.

Survivors include a son, Robert Hollier and wife Cynthia of Houston, TX a brother, Louis Michael L.M. Richard of Carencro sisters, Margaret Stelly of Grand Coteau and Melrose Guidry of Church Point three grandchildren, Victoria Clairie, Celeste Nicole Zeiters, and Jacob Donald Hollier and a step grandchild, Madleine Walther.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lydia Downing Richard a son, Donald Dene Zeiters a brother, J.B. Richard and a sister, Dianne Willis.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home beginning Monday, October 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
