Benjamin Stermer, Jr.

Visiting will be held for Benjamin Franklin Stermer, Jr, on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA, followed by cremation.
Mr. Stermer, age 64, died suddenly at his residence in Krotz Springs on Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Benjamin was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved being surrounded by all of his grandchildren. They were truly his world. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linda Barron Stermer of Krotz Springs mother, Vera Vining of Krotz Springs sons, Kenneth A. Stermer and his wife Dana of Huntsville, GA, Andrew Paul Cano of Leesville, LA, and Eddie Shane Comeaux of Enide, OK daughters, Paula Stermer Kincaid and her husband Rick of Mustang, OK, Bridgette Comeaux Quebedeaux and husband Lonnie of Port Barre and his nephews who were like his own sons, Deon and Leon Boudreaux of Port Barre brother, Henry A. Stermer of Krotz Springs sisters, Linda Stermer Fitzgerald, Adrienne Stermer and Tammy Stermer, all of Krotz Springs 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his godchild, Casey Lanclos of Port Barre.
He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. Stermer, Sr sister, Zelma L. Wiltz fatherinlaw, Lennis Barron and motherinlaw, Bernice Lalond Barron.
LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
