Benjamin J. Dedon ("B.J.")

Krotz Springs - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Benjamin J. Dedon ("B.J.") announce his death on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Opelousas General Health System. Benjamin was a resident of Krotz Springs, LA and was born on January 28, 1959, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Benjamin loved to ride his Harley Davidson on the open road. He had an uncanny knack to fix anything, he was truly a jack of all trades. He will be remembered for his love of his son "B.J., Jr.", being a wonderful father, brother, and friend. To say that he will be greatly missed by his family and friends is an understatement.

Mr. Dedon is survived by his son, Benjamin Joseph Dedon, Jr. ("B.J., Jr.") and his sisters, Bett Dedon and Flora Jarrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Harold Dedon and Jerry Lynn Partin Dedon; his sister, Frances Gourgues and a niece, Dana Lamke Fontenot.
