Beatrice Bourdier

A Mass of Christian Burial for Beatrice Bea Bourdier will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2011 at 10:00am in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Fr. Angelo Cremaldi will celebrate the Mass with Rev. Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen concelebrating. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Hidalgo, Jr., Chris Hidalgo, Greg Hidalgo, Bill Bourdier, Devlin Bourdier and Matthew Howard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Hidalgo, Donald McSpadden, Mike Howard, Tommy Greene, Anthony Palermo and O.J. Buster LeBlanc.

Gift bearers will be Cheryl and Anthony Palermo and Kristine Tucker. The readers will be Denise Greene and Kelly Howard. Musical selections will be by Richard Sellers and Marla Faust.

Mrs. Bourdier, age 100 a resident of Opelousas died Saturday July 9, 2011 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home. She was Chief Census Accountant at the St. Landry Parish School Board charter President of Hope, Hook and Ladder 1 Firemens Auxiliary and was also a member of a local Rosary group.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara B. Hidalgo and husband Joe of Opelousas, daughter in law Bessie Bourdier of Opelousas, nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents Darius M. Fontenot and Catherine Chachere Fontenot, her husband William Bourdier, Sr., sons Gene Bourdier and William Bourdier, Jr., brother Herbert Fontenot and sisters Marie McSpadden and Catherine Romero.

The family has requested visitation be held on Monday July 11, 2011 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 6:00pm.
