Barry Hundley, Sr.

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Barry Anthony Hundley, Sr. at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. Reverend Paul Bienvenu will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held at the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point.

Mr. Hundley, age 61, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at his residence.

Barry enjoyed traveling, especially cruises with the love of his life, his wife, Betty.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors are his sons, Barry Hundley, Jr. and wife, Jea, of Prairie Ronde, La. Brian Hundley and wife, Meghan, of Opelousas, La. his daughter, Bridget Hundley Fontenot and husband, Jarid, of Opelousas, La. his brother, Charles Hundley of Opelousas, La. and his sisters, Frances Hundley of Eunice and Carol Hundley Lavergne of Ville Platte, La. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Caleb Hundley, Caitlyn Hundley, Alyssa Hundley, Camryn Hundley, Olivia Hundley, Carter Fontenot, Carsyn Fontenot and Cannon Fontenot.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Betty Hundley and his parents, Royce and Wilma Sattler Hundley.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
