Barbara Sharbino

Melville - Funeral services will be held for Barbara Vercher Sharbino at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Melville. Bro. Charles Polotzola and Bro. Christian Courville will conduct the funeral service. Burial will take place at Ferguson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.

Mrs. Barbara, age 75, a resident of Melville, died on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her residence in Melville. She was a homemaker and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her brothers, Roy Lee Vercher and companion of Houston, TX; David Vercher of Arizona; Vernon Vercher and wife, Terrie, of Dallas, TX; her sisters, Velma Vercher Savant and husband, Ray Savant, Sr. of Melville; Dollie Ann Dupre and husband, Norman Dupre, of St. Landry; Sandra Smith of Texas and her three grandchildren, Bambi Martin, Alisa Ryder and Tony Ryder. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oreas Sharbino; her parents; Leroy and Gladys Hughes Vercher; her daughters, Dolores Ryder and Julia Sharbino; her brother-in-law, Kenneth Smith; her son-in-law, Donny Ryder and her sisters-in-law, Carol Vercher and Sandra Vercher.

The family has requested visitation be held on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church in Melville.
