Barbara Reed

Funeral services for Barbara Ledoux Reed, resident of Opelousas will be held Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at 11:00AM at Our Lady Of Mercy Catholic Church. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Park. Fr. Jeff DeBlanc will officiate the services. Musical selections for the Mass will be; On This Day O Beautiful Mother, In The Arms of an Angel, Hail Mary, Our Father and Amazing Grace.

Mrs. Reed, age 60, died 5:45PM Wednesday at her residence, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Reed was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Altar Society, Come Lord Jesus Daughters Of Jerusalem, past member of the Louisiana Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers.

She is survived by her husband; Wayne Reed of Opelousas, parents; Emmett Louise Ledoux of Opelousas, daughters; Lia Reed Duplechain and husband Garett of Opelousas and Erin Reed Monica and husband Joey of Opelousas, sister; Glenda Ledoux Shaw of Lafayette, two granddaughters; Elizabeth Duplechain and Ann Marie Duplechain and grandson; Joseph Tripp Monica all of Opelousas.

Visitation will be noon Friday to 8:00PM and will continue on Saturday from 9:00AM till time of service. Our Lady Queen of Angels Altar Society will recite a Rosary on Friday at 1:00PM and a Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30PM by Msgr. Louis Melancon.
