Barbara David

Memorial services for Barbara Jean Elter David will be held at a later date. Mrs. David, age 60, died at her residence in Grand Coteau on Sunday July 22, 2007.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and worked at the Thinstead Center in Grand Coteau.

She is survived by 3 sons; Paul David and his wife Cindy of Carencro, Carl David and his wife Marisha of Port Barre and John David and his wife Stacey of Lafayette, brothers; Gerald Elter and Percy Elter, sisters; Joann Lavergne and Sharon Veillon. She is also survived by grandchildren; Ryan David, Timothy David, Mandy David, Jerrett David, Sandra Greene and Jennifer Primeaux and 2 great-grandchildren; Carley Primeaux and Nicholas Primeaux Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Carl Elter Sr and Mary M. Hargroder Elter, her husband; Joseph Cephas David, a brother; Carl Elter Jr. and a sister; Edna Broussard.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 from 2:00pm to 10:00pm and a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Tuesday.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Journey Hospice for taking special care of Barbara.
