A Mass of Christian Burial for Audrey Soileau Richard will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.  Reverend Gregory Simien will celebrate the Mass.  Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family requests visiting hours be from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.  A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 noon on Monday by Deacon Bill Pollingue.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Audrey Soileau Richard, age 86, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.

Audrey loved sewing, crocheting, and quilting.  She also enjoyed fishing and watching western movies on TV. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Ramona Lacombe and Susan Lacombe Hebert and her husband, Shane Hebert; her son, Randy Lacombe and his wife, LaOng Lacombe; her brothers, John Soileau and A.J. Soileau; her eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband NC Joseph Richard; her son, Marvin Cody Lacombe; her grandson, Myles Cody Sebastien; her parents, Alvin and Vivian Soileau; her sisters, Sophie Thibodeaux and Shirley Stephenson and her brother, Gerald Soileau.

Pallbearers will be Ross Hebert, Lance Hebert, Andre Broussard, Troy Lacombe, Derek Lacombe, and Jake Bergeron.  Honorary pallbearer will be Hayden Lacombe.
