Asline Stelly

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Asline Fontenot Stelly at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014, in the St. Anthony of Padua Church in Krotz Springs, La. Reverend Chanh Nguyen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery.

Asline, age 80, a resident of Krotz Springs, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the TriCommunity Nursing Home in Palmetto.

Asline was a loving mom, mawmaw, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her sons and daughtersinlaw, Jimmy and Kay Stelly of Grosse Tete, La. Jessie and Crystal Stelly of Grosse Tete, La. Daniel and Jennie Stelly of St. Francisville, La. her sisters and sisterinlaw, Ament Leger, Lola Dupre and Lillie Fontenot. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Chris Lindsey Stelly, Ann Josh Kleinpeter, Liz Jeremy Kilbert, Tiffany, Luke and Emily Stelly and nine greatgrandchildren, Caleb, Landry, Andrew, Mary, Alexander, Isabella, Sophia, Clayton, Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Maria Fontenot her brothers, Amos, Nelson, Wilson and Euell her sisters, Theresa, Eula, Genevieve Jane, Anna Belle, Rosita Rose and Eurella.

The family would like to thank all her friends who loved and cared for her, especially Effie Ardoin, Shirley Ray and Lou Hyatt. Also, thanks to the staff of TriCommunity Nursing Home and Amedysis Hospice for the care and compassion given, especially Vicki Hearns.

Visiting will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
