Arva Daville

Funeral services for Arva Lee Shorty Daville will be held on Monday March 31, 2014 at 2:00pm in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas, LA. The interment will take place at the Prairie Ronde Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Joshua Roberie will conduct the services.

Mr. Daville, age, 71, a resident of Prairie Ronde, died Saturday March 29, 2014 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home in Eunice, LA. He was a retired Iron Worker and was considered the acting Mayor of Prairie Ronde.

He is survived by his sons, Charles Daville and wife Amanda of Prairie Ronde, Greg Deville and wife Julie of Nuba, daughters, Rhonda Fontenot of Ville Platte, Jessica Daville Darbonne of Lawtell, Rachel Daville Guidry of Prairie Ronde, Cheryl Daville of Texas, Sarah Deshotel of Crowley, sisters, Belva Roberie of Ville Platte, Peggy Daville Guidry of Prairie Ronde, 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Averance Eve Daville and Vernice P. Daville and a brother, Charles Daville.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday March 30, 2014 from 11:00am until 10:00pm and will reopen on Monday at 8:00am.

A special thanks goes out to Eunice Manor Nursing Home for great care in the last 6 months. Special thanks to Ameydsis Hospice especially Vicky Herne.
