Arthur Wyble

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Arthur Wyble at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Wyble, age 83, who was a native and resident of Opelousas, LA, died at his home on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

For 68 years Arthur raised cattle. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Savoy Wyble of Opelousas, LA; son, Mitchell Wyble and wife Tina of Opelousas, LA; daughter, Janet Wyble Arsement and husband, Robert of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Austin Wyble, Jr of Opelousas, LA, Don Wyble of St. Francisville, and Gary Wyble of Opelousas, LA; five grandchildren, Kimberly A. Johnson, Jeremy Arsement, Brandon Landry, Brooks Wyble, and Casie Wyble; five great grandchildren, Beau, Savannah, Charleigh- Kate, Bradley and Ava.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin Wyble, Sr. and rita Lalonde Ortego; maternal grandparents, Alexis and Belle Lalonde; paternal grandparents, John Wyble, Sr. and Adele Bellard Wyble; brothers, Edward and Ronnie Wyble.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Wyble, Brooks Wyble, Brandon Landry, Jeremy Arsement, Robert Arsement, and Chris Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Simoneaux, Tommy Ortego, and Austin Wyble, Jr.

The Wyble family asks that charitable donations in Arthur Wyble's name be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org

Visiting will begin on Monday, February 8, 2016 in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. A Rosary will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m.
