Arthur Rodriguez

Melville - Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Joseph Rodriguez will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2018 in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville, LA. Reverend Rocky Warden will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Melville Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Rodriguez who was a native and resident of Melville, LA, died at his residence surrounded by his family.

Arthur was an iron worker by trade. He is known by his family and friends as a hardworking man who was constantly busy and who didn't know what rest was. When he wasn't working, Arthur loved to be fishing on the Atchafalaya River. He also loved to dance and listen to Cajun music. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Evans Rodriguez; sons Brian Keith Rodriguez and wife Dajuana, Byron Kirt Rodriguez and wife Ramona; daughter, Tamitha Jean Ryder; brothers, Earnest Rodriguez and wife Stacey and Samuel Rodriguez; sisters Bobbie Jane Gerbine and Susie Worley; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Rena Fruge Rodriguez; step daughter, Vicki L. Ward; siblings, Jake Rodriguez, Edrina Duval, and Willie Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel of Melville and will reopen on Sunday, November 25, 2018, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Melville has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
