Arsent Manuel

Opelousas - Funeral services for Arsent Pete Manuel, 92 will be held on March 1, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas followed by interment in the St. Landry Church Mausoleum.

Mr. Manuel was a resident Opelousas and died on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

Mr. Manuel served his country during World War II and the Korean War both in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He retired in 1964 after 21 years of service.

Mr. Manuel is survived by his brother, Edless Bill Manuel of Opelousas.

Mr. Manuel is preceded in death by his brother, Lastie Manuel, a sister, Sue Drew Thibodeaux, and his parents, Jumere and Aurora Guillory Manuel.

Visitation will be held at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
