Annie Leger

A beautiful Spirit has left this earth, but Heaven got an upgrade.

Funeral services for Annie Mae Leger will be held Monday November 6, 2006 at 11:00am in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Landry Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Jeff DeBlanc will officiate. Pallbearers will be Blaine Peck, Matthew Peck, Jeremy Peck, Nicholas Peck, Brian Johnston and Holden Peck.

Mrs. Leger died Thursday November 2, 2006 at Prompt Succor Nursing Facility.

Mrs. Leger was a member of the Our Lady Of Mercy Altar Society for thirty plus years, charter member of the Opelousas Developmental Center Mothers Club, supporter of the Opelousas Developmental Center for approximately 40 years and also Promoter of the Miraculous Medal.

Survivors include her sons; Glenn Leger and Wayne Leger both of Opelousas, daughters; Patsy Leger Johnston and husband Harold of Kansas City, Mo., Susie Leger Peck and husband Alex of Opelousas, brother; James Richard of Opelousas, sister; Hazel R. Latiolais of Lawtell, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband; Jesse Leger, parents; Mentor and Olivia Benoit Richard, son; Jesse Leger, Jr., 2 infant sons; Verlin and Joseph Leger, grandson; Joshua Stuart Peck, sisters; Betty Richard and Mersie R. Stotler, brothers; Levy Richard, Huel Richard and Emery Richard.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen at 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:00pm.
