Krotz Springs A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Annie Alphonse Kimble at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014, in the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, La. Reverend Chanh Nguyen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held at St. John Church Mausoleum in Melville, La.

Mrs. Kimble, age 85, a resident of Melville, La., died on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System.

Annie retired from Melville Elementary as a food technician. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Kimble of Liverpool, Tx. Ronnie Kimble and wife, Brenda of Port Barre, La. Darrel Kimble and wife, Paula of Krotz Springs, La. Walter Ray Kimble and wife, Ruth of Navarre, Florida Donald Joseph Kimble of Breaux Bridge, La. her daughters, Patsy Kimble of Melville, La. Sally Hooks and husband, Neil of Krotz Springs, La. and Rose Disotell and husband, Wendell of Krotz Springs, La. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Walter M. Chinner Kimble her parents, Frank and Lucy Lucus Alphonse and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. open all night until service time on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
