Anne Guidroz

Opelousas Services for Anne Marie Guidroz, age 74, will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady Queen Angels Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, Louisiana. Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

The readers will be Kathleen Richard and Danielle Darbonne. The gift bearers will be Glenda Darbonne and Bonita Lafleur.

Ms. Guidroz, a resident of Opelousas, died on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 8:55 p.m. at Opelousas General Health System.

Ms. Guidroz was a Catholic nun with the order of the Most Holy Sacrament for 25 years. She also taught at Opelousas Catholic High School for 28 years.

Ms. Guidroz is survived by her brother, Nolan Guidroz of Houma, La.; her sisters, Velma Bihm of Opelousas, Nola M. Guidroz of Opelousas, Mary Anne Bellard and her husband, Norby, of Carencro, La. and Lorena Anne Foster of Opelousas, La.

Sister Guidroz was preceded in death by her parents, Jarvis Leon Guidroz and Mary E. Moreau Guidroz; her brothers, Joseph Curley Guidroz, John Arthur Guidroz; her sister, Marie Vallie Duffy and her brother-in-law, Murphy Foster.

Pallbearers will be: Wayne Gautreaux, Charles Glenn Lanclos, Marc Foster, Steve Guidroz, Brian Bellard and Ronald Guidroz. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dan Foster and Philip Foster.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 12:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will re-open on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
