Anna Martin

Grand Prairie A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie for Mrs. Anna Belle Doucet Martin, age 90, who passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011.

The Reverend Richard Vidrine will celebrate the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Chelsea and Sloane Carroll. Gift Bearers will be Renee and Leah Daigle. Pallbearers will be Winton Vidrine, Brian Carroll, Clint Daigle, Tommy Dupre, Joshua Matte, and Brandon Mouret. Interment will follow in the St. Peters Cemetery in Grand Prairie.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 1:30 to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Mrs. Martin is survived by one son, Andrew Dupre Judith of Plaucheville, LA three daughters, Lou Morgan of Washington, LA, Jeanell Vidrine Winton of Washington, LA and Pat Rabalais Johnny of Opelousas, LA a sister, Betty Soileau of Ville Platte seven grandchildren, Clint Daigle, Renee Daigle, Leah Daigle, Tommy Dupre, Duane Dupre, Greg Vidrine, and Brian Carroll ten great grandchildren two greatgreat grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Auguste and Mary Addie Doucet her first husband and the father of her children, Golbert Dupre her second husband, Buford Martin and two brothers, Herbert and Elled Doucet.
