Anna Ledoux

Opelousas – Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. for Anna Lee Ledoux at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas. Father Gregory Simien will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Anna Lee Ledoux, age 70 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at her residence.

Anna was a faithful Christian and devout Catholic; she was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She read the Bible and prayed the Rosary daily. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and doing puzzles. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Anna was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and sister; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gene Ledoux; son, Paul Dennis Ledoux; daughters, Robbin Ledoux (Keith Dunbar) and Kristie Cortez (Gerald); brothers, Fred Mayeux (Priscilla) and Phillip Luther (Michelle); sisters, Vivian Cook (Brandon), Linda Parker (Charles) and Gerry Dahlia Tamplain; grandchildren, Julian Ledoux, Cody Cortez, Callie Cortez, Cami Cortez, Rachael Tresner (Jerret), Kristie Benoit and Beau Hunter Benoit; and great-grandchildren, Alani East, Jerret Simon Tresner, Pierceton Tresner, Landon Tresner and Elizabeth Marie Norse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Gerald Luther; grand-daughter, Cori Cortez; and sister, Emily Elkins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas from 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Monday Evening by Deacon Dwayne Joubert. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Pallbearers will be Paul Ledoux, Fred Mayeux, Alex Taylor, Ashtyn Faul, Jerret Tresner and Keith Dunbar. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Cortez and Jerret Simon Tresner.
