Anna Bordelon Guidroz

Anna Bordelon Guidroz passed away on July 23, 2024, at Acadia St. Landry Nursing and Rehabilitation and Road Home Therapy Center in Church Point at the age of 80. She was born on July 18, 1944, in Opelousas, LA, and was a longtime resident of Opelousas. She retired from serving her patients for many years as an LPN Nurse. Throughout her career as an LPN, she touched the lives of countless individuals with her kind and nurturing spirit. She enjoyed reading, fishing, watching sports, and above all spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Pastor Eugene Reiszner from Our Savior’s Church will officiate the services. Graveside services and burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. 

Pallbearers will be Jean Quebedeaux, Jacque Quebedeaux, Jonah Quebedeaux, Everett Fontenot, Corey Fontenot, Logan Kartchner, and Jacob Thibodeaux.

Anna is survived by her son, Brian Guidroz and his wife, Lydia; her daughters, Sheila Fontenot and her husband, Keith; and Monica Quebedeaux and her husband, Jeff; her brother, Roland Bordelon and his wife, Kay; her sisters, Mary Alice Savoy and Brenda Burdick and her husband, Douglas; her grandchildren, Jean Quebedeaux (Ariel), Emilee Kartchner (Logan), Darian Thibodeaux (Jacob), Jacque Quebedeaux, Jonah Quebedeaux, Everett Fontenot (Rebecca), Corey Fontenot, and Olivia Fontenot; her great-grandchildren, Carson Quebedeaux, Rhyleigh Quebedeaux, Drake Lavergne, Avery Kartchner, Aubrey Kartchner, Colton Kartchner, Cambrie Thibodeaux, Miliah Thibodeaux, Ella Wyble, Rhett Fontenot, and Evelyn Fontenot; and other dear family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace “Poncho” Bordelon and Emily Pitre Bordelon; her sister, Winnie Bordelon; her infant child and her former husband and the father of her children, who she still cared for, Ronald Guidroz.
