Anna Darbonne

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Clair Darbonne, age 52, will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, followed by inurnment in the Bellevue Memorial Park at a later date. The Reverend Paul Bienvenu will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Clair Darbonne who was a native and resident of Opelousas, died on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Opelousas General Health System.

She worked at Opelousas General Health Systems for 20 years as a Registered Nurse in the labor and delivery unit. She held national certification in inpatient obstetrics. Clair supported and participated in Walk America with the March of Dimes. She will be greatly missed by her family and dear friends.

Survivors include her sons, Nicholas Darbonne and wife Christina and John Darbonne daughter, Amanda Darbonne DeLeon parents, Manuel and Thelma Powell Benoit sisters, Veronica Ferrazzano and Kathy Soileau grandchildren, Haley Darbonne and Rai DeLeon.

Visiting will be held in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home beginning Monday, October 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. 10:00 p.m. and reopening at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
