Ann Sanders

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Ann Hollier Sanders, age 64, will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Opelousas, La. Interment will follow at a later date. The Reverend Gary Schexnayder will be the celebrant of the mass.

Ann, a resident of Lafayette, La. and formerly of Opelousas, La., passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 with her family and friends by her side.

Ann owned and operated Prime Kut Beauty Salon in Opelousas for a couple of years. She also was the secretary of the Better Business Bureau and also worked for the Knights of Columbus Insurance Company. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, John Michael Sanders and his wife, Brooke, of Maurice, La. her daughter, Charlette Sanders Romero and her husband, Tom, of Kenner, La. and her two grandchildren, Isabella Veronica Romero and Nicholas Markus Romero. She is also survived by her former husband, John J. Sanders, of Opelousas, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Clemonce Thibodeaux Hollier and her brother, Charles Clifton Hollier.

Our mother had many struggles in her lifetime she always came through with a smile.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
