A resident of Garland, LA and native of Baton Rouge, she died Wednesday, September 16, 2009. She was 79 and a retired Laboratory Technologist from US Steel.
Visitation will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, Sonnier Road, Whiteville, LA beginning 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2009, until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Father Mike Guidry, Interment in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.
She is survived by a sister, Helen H. Milne and husband, Albert F. Milne, of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Joseph E. Hutchinson and wife, Louise, of Prairieville, LA; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Byrd Muriel Hutchinson of Greenwell Springs, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence C. Hutchinson; mother, Ozelia Matherne Hutchinson; brother, Elmore P. Hutchinson and sister-in-law, Faye McKenzie Hutchinson; sister, Betty Ann H. Callender and brother-in-law, Ellis W. Callender; brother, Byrd J. Hutchinson; nephews: Albert F. Milne, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; Thomas B. Hutchinson of Greenwell Springs, LA; and William C. Callender of Baton Rouge, LA.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Callender, Christine Hutchinson, Gordon LeBlanc, Brent LeBlanc, Andrew LeBlanc and a representative of the Joseph E. Hutchinson family.
Special thanks to good friends Mr. Charles and Mrs. Agnes LeBlanc and family; Dr. Richard Tate, Mrs. Kitty Dupre; Caregivers: Penny, Judy, Margaret, Tammie, Kasey and Vnita for their professional and devoted care.
She was an extremely generous person and will be missed by those who knew her.
