Opelousas Funeral services for Amy S. Soileau, age 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend James Brady will conduct the funeral service.

Mrs. Soileau, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Opelousas General Health System.

Amy was by far the best cook in South Louisiana. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Soileau, of Opelousas, La. her sons, Neil Soileau and wife, Sue, of Baton Rouge, La. Dennis Soileau and wife, Debbie, of Opelousas, La. Dirk Soileau and wife, Sharon, of Opelousas, La. and Andy Soileau of Opelousas, La. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Eric Soileau, Joe Soileau, Sarah Louviere, James Daniel Soileau and her greatgranddaughter, Hailey Soileau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Irene Soileau her sister, Jane Andrus and her grandchildren, Jason Soileau and Marcie Soileau.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Thursday, May 3, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Friday until service time.
