Alice Ortis

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Moran Ortis will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, LA. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Anthony Mausoleum. The Reverend Chan Nguyen will celebrate the Mass.

Alice Moran Ortis, age 88, who was a native of Washington, LA, died at her residence in Krotz Springs, LA on Saturday, September 6, 2014.

Alice will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jules A. Ortis of Krotz Springs, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Placide and Lide Gros Moran brothers, Raymond and Louis Moran sisters Mable Soileau, Helen Moran, and Livinia Ni Moran.

Pallbearers will be Kurt Moran, Richy Moran, Kevin Reed, Barry Reed, Johnny Murray, and Philip Fremin. Honorary pallbearers will be George Soileau, Craig Moran, Aubrey Soileau, Gary Soileau, Hervy Moran, Jay Moran and Pat Moran.

Visiting will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, LA, beginning on Monday, September 8, 2014 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
