Westwego, LA A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego, LA, on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Ed Grice will conduct the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.

Our precious mother and grandmother, Alice Stoute Noel, passed away on August 27, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. She was born in Leonville, LA on October 25, 1917 to the late Jerome and Florestine Stelly Stoute. She was a resident of Bridge City, LA for many years before returning to Opelousas in 2005.

She leaves behind four generations and innumerable, beautiful memories, especially her gumbo, pranks, love, and laughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Louis H. Noel two brothers, Dallas and Baby Boy Stoute and her granddaughter Tammy D. Myers.

Devoted mother of Leon Harry Noel Lois, Louis Donald Noel Jean, and Rita Noel Waitz Fred. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Jeanne Noel, Kevin Noel, Donna Noel Doucet, Chris Noel, Lorraine Noel Delbueno, Caryn Deluca Bodin, Lisa Waitz Eckert, Karl Waitz, Michael Waitz and David Waitz, 24 greatgrandchildren and 7 greatgreatgrandchildren.

Our thanks to Lorraine, Celine, Annie, Wilda, Mike, Donna, Gerry, Louise, Shirley, Virgie, Wanda, Lena, Ani, Elaine, Monica, Sister Cynthia, and countless others for their loving care. Thanks to Karl and Dave for the joy their music brought her. Also, our thanks to the staffs of Cest la Vie, OLPS Nsg. Home, Angels of Mercy, Central La. Home Health Agency, and LHC Hospice.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, August 29, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego, LA 146 Fourth Street, Westwego, LA 70094 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m.

A rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas at 6:00 p.m.
